Cards marked ACS started appearing in the library in 2026: ACS Ochra, ACS ABV440, Blue Vootwo. They are American isolations of lines the library already knew, and they are some of the most useful specimens on the shelf for comparison work.
01What A.C.S is
A.C.S is an American genetics group whose isolations reach the library through the Mushrealm collection, the US-based collection catalogued alongside the two Australian ones. An A.C.S card is a cut: a phenotype selected and stabilised by A.C.S from a line that often originated elsewhere. Blue Vootwo, for example, is the A.C.S isolation from What The Fungi's Blue Voodoo. The card credits both, because the cross is Q's and the isolate is theirs.
02The A.C.S lines in stock
- ACS Ochra, an isolated Ochra (previously Natalensis) line.
- ACS ABV440, an isolation of Albino Bluey Vuitton, the albino form of the Bluey Vuitton hybrid (Panama x Melmac Penis Envy, worked originally by Silly Cybin from around 2014).
- Blue Vootwo (ACS Blue Voodoo iso), the isolate from Blue Ravioli x Natal Moon.
- MFH Ape, the isolation of Manna From Heaven APE, carried in the Mushrealm collection.
Alongside them the 2026 batch brought A.C.S cuts of DreadMaw and other What The Fungi lines. Every card names the original breeder first.

03Why a cut from another breeder is worth having

Put What The Fungi's Blue Voodoo beside A.C.S's Blue Vootwo, or a Bluey Vuitton beside ACS ABV440, and the differences in spore size range, print density and pigment are the breeders' choices made visible. That is the kind of comparison a single-source library cannot offer.
04Reading an A.C.S card
Species, then the A.C.S name, then the original line in brackets where it differs, then the ISO tag, then the collection (Mushrealm). "BLUE VOOTWO (ACS Blue voodoo iso)" reads: cubensis, A.C.S isolate, from Blue Voodoo, via Mushrealm. The lineage explorer links it back to Blue Ravioli and Natal Moon.
05Mushrealm genetics more broadly
The Mushrealm collection holds American reference genetics logged and preserved as their own lines, with the A.C.S cuts as its most recent additions. Together with What The Fungi and Sporexchange it gives the library three breeding traditions to compare, which is the reason the collections page is organised by origin rather than by species.
