01What Project Bluebook is

Project Bluebook is an isolated Psilocybe cubensis line, catalogued as Project Bluebook (CG isolation), where CG is ClemGrows, the grower credited with the isolation. It sits in the A.C.S collection the library carries through Mushrealm.

02Lineage and history

The catalogue records the isolation and the person who made it, and does not publish a parent cross for the line, so that is where this guide stops. What the card does tell you is the thing most listings leave out: who did the selection work. An isolate is somebody's labour, not a natural category, and a name without a person attached is a name you cannot check.

03Under the microscope

Expect a pigmented cubensis: subellipsoid and thick-walled, 11 to 17 micrometres long, a germ pore visible at 1000x with oil, purple-brown in mass, dense print. Nothing exotic, and that is fine; the value of a well-documented isolate on the bench is repeatability rather than novelty.

Use it as a control. A tightly worked isolate with a known selector is exactly the specimen you want as a baseline when you are judging whether a stranger line is as consistent as its listing claims.
