How these records are built. Pedigrees are compiled from community strain archives, vendor catalogue records and the breeder notes that travel with each culture. Where an older record disagrees with a newer one, both are shown with their dates rather than silently resolved. Names in this field are informal and are not governed by any taxonomic authority, so a strain name describes a line of stock, not a species.
