Every order is packed by hand in the UK in plain, discreet, unbranded outer packaging. There is nothing on the outside to indicate the contents or the sender. Specimens are sealed and cushioned to arrive intact.
Every international delivery is subject to local law (see below).
Orders are typically dispatched within 1-2 working days of your payment clearing. Once posted, UK delivery is usually 2-3 working days. Outside the UK, the checkout shows an estimate for each delivery option: usually 2-8 working days within the EU and 4-7 working days to the USA and South Africa. Royal Mail to the rest of Africa is handed to the local post office and can take longer, depending on the destination and customs. These are estimates, not guarantees.
UK: standard tracked shipping is a flat £3.80 per order, and free on all orders of £75 or more. The discount is applied automatically at checkout.
Outside the UK: the delivery price for your address is shown at checkout before you pay, with tracking included.
Every order ships with a tracking number, emailed to you the moment your parcel is dispatched. You can follow your parcel any time on our account page.
Spore laws differ between countries and regions. It is the buyer's responsibility to confirm that a specimen is legal to receive and hold for microscopy where they live before ordering. Any customs duties or import charges are the responsibility of the recipient.
Every specimen is prepared under a sterile protocol and inspected before it leaves the bench. We stand behind that work: if a product reaches you contaminated or damaged in transit, we will replace it free of charge.
Email us at hello@mycoworld.co.uk within 14 days of delivery, quoting your order number and, where possible, a clear photograph of the issue and the LOT label. We'll review it and arrange a replacement or, where a replacement isn't possible, a refund to your original payment method.
As these are perishable biological specimens supplied for microscopy only, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind, nor for issues arising from storage or handling after delivery. Our guarantee covers the condition of the specimen as received. Store specimens cool, dark and unopened until you study them.
These terms govern your use of MycoWorld and your purchase of our products. By placing an order you accept them in full.
All products (spore syringes, spore swabs and spore prints) are supplied strictly as laboratory reference specimens for microscopy, taxonomy, research and educational use. They are not food, supplements, medicine or cultivation products, and we provide no cultivation guidance. Full detail is set out in our Legal Use Policy.
You must be 18 years of age or over to order. By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18, that you are ordering for lawful microscopy use, and that the specimen is legal to possess and receive where you live. We may decline or cancel any order at our discretion.
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (£) and include applicable taxes where relevant. We take care to keep listings accurate, but where an obvious pricing or description error occurs we may cancel the affected order and refund you in full. An order is only accepted once payment has cleared and the goods are dispatched.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with any product or order is limited to the amount you paid for that product. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any use of a specimen beyond the microscopy purpose for which it is supplied. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under UK consumer law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
We collect only what we need to process your order and get it to you. Nothing more.
Payment is taken securely on our checkout partner. Your card is entered and processed there by a regulated payment provider; we never see or store your full card number. MycoWorld does not hold card details on its systems.
We use your details solely to fulfil and support your order: packing, shipping, tracking, and honouring the replacement guarantee. We may send you transactional emails about your order. We will only send marketing email if you have explicitly opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
We never sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share it only with the essential services that make your order happen (our payment partner and our delivery carrier) and only to the extent needed to deliver your order.
You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you at any time. Email hello@mycoworld.co.uk and we'll action your request.

Compliance. MycoWorld supplies microscopy specimens and taxonomy reference material only. We do not sell cultivation equipment, substrates or grow kits, and we do not provide cultivation advice. All specimens are intended for lawful microscopy, identification and research by customers aged 18 or over.
