Bluey Vuitton Spore Syringe

Bluey Vuitton is a Psilocybe cubensis line supplied as a 10ml spore syringe for microscopy. The library records it as a hybrid of Panama and Melmac Penis Envy, worked from around 2014 by the breeder known as Silly Cybin, which makes it one of the few modern lines with a named breeder, two named parents and a date on the record.

It is the pigmented parent of the ABV family. Under the objective the spores are subellipsoid and thick walled, roughly 11 to 17 micrometres long, purple brown in mass, with a germ pore that resolves cleanly at 1000x under oil. The Penis Envy side of the parentage tends to deposit thinly, so a sparse drop on the slide is normal for this line rather than a sign of a poor print.

Its real value on the bench is comparative. Set it beside either of its albino descendants at the same light level and the pigment difference is unmistakable, which teaches more about what albinism does to a spore than any two unrelated lines can.
